Good Morning Fire Eater. I picked this song because of those very lyrics, they can describe the Tom Robinson case.
"Cause there's no good if you can have it all" which would conclude Atticus loseing the case,
and how he can't get everything he wants within the case. "They're giving back what they never stole"
referes to the Ewells and how they won the case just because Tom Robinson was black but they
don't have anything so they never stole anything from anyone. When it comes to certain situations,
you can't always win or get what you want so you just have to deal with the punishment or consequence.
Great job Lexi! That is a great connection, your right about the how the Ewells won the case because Tom was African American. Tom did not even do anything to anyone and still got charged and killed for nothing. It is wrong. I feel bad for Atticus, I could tell he really wanted to win that case. Keep up the good work!
